2007 is IAF's platinum jubilee year. What has the journey been like? We have crossed many milestones, and there are many, many more to cross. India's economy is growing rapidly and the world acknowledges our power. There are bigger responsibilities and more global interaction . But we need to build our security beyond ours shores. Your comments on IAF's drive to upgrade its infrastructure ...We are re-equipping ourselves with new infrastructure. The IAF is undertaking all-round modernisation and assimilating many new capabilities. We are exercising with other air forces and winning acclaim. It is imperative to keep abreast of new technologies and changes in doctrines and tactics to fully exploit the potential of aerospace power.
